Impact Damage.
We have been involved with impact claims ranging from debris affecting roofs to vehicle impact with immobile properties such as domestic homes, bridges, hotel signage, shop front glazing, boundary walls, fencing and paving.
Some of the more interesting cases we have tackled have included a ship impacting with a Port Authority wall, an American tourist who drove into the side of a domestic building nearly causing its’ collapse, and a vehicle which was driven, in reverse, straight through the lounge window of a bungalow, causing significant structural damage.
Having two professionally qualified engineers (BSc CEng MICE) assists the reinstatement process because, as is often the case, the aesthetics of the building are secondary to the structural damage.
Impact damage claims are often problematic for contractors, simply because they have to sub-contract brickwork and roughcast aspects. We can provide a seamless service without sub-contracting using a combination of our brick, stone and roughcasting operatives.
