We satisfy all statutory requirements with regard to Health and Safety Accreditation, regular Training and insurance cover. We regularly undertake Asbestos Awareness Training, and additional training is provided including; Working at Heights, ladder training, the use of power tools and the correct application and use of PPE.
We also have a specific Training Room and several specialists with knowledge of Health & Safety employed within the company. Platinum CSCS card holders conduct specific training exercises and all staff, including the majority of office based staff, have CSCS cards.
Within our employment, our General Manager, Angus Davidson, has a wealth of Health & Safety experience. Angus, a former Health & Safety Manager with a water company, has lectured on Health & Safety issues as far afield as Dubai, and is an Associate Consultant with Ryder Marsh Behavioural Safety.
Co-ordination of specific projects is handled by providing all attending personnel with a Risk Assessment and ‘walk through’ of the project, together with specific Toolbox Talks pertinent to their trade and adjoining, preceding and following trades affecting their task.
In addition to this, we have achieved SAFEcontractor Accreditation and Constructionline membership.
We have an unblemished Health & Safety record, and visit every site at least twice weekly to check on progress, hazards, environmental issues and employee welfare. Site supervision is undertaken by William Balfour, with feedback, updates and co-ordination of projects being tackled in conjunction with John Toms and Laura Bell.
