We have a specific and separate roofing division.
We undertake Grant Assisted work for re-roofing and have a significant presence in the Lanarkshire area as a roofing and roughcast contractor, as well as having separate divisions dealing with extensions, conversions, adaptations and storm damage repairs.
Our expertise in re-roofing dates back over 30 years, however John Wylie himself has nearly 40 years experience in this trade. It is important to remember that, generally, storm damage is not as common as the public believe, and usually there is an element of deterioration mixed with damage occasioned during storm conditions.
In addition to having a roofing division with 8 operatives, we also store a considerable quantity of different tiles and slates, some of which are discontinued and may not be available from any other source. Please contact us if you are experiencing difficulty sourcing a particular type of roof tile or slate.
We have been involved, to a significant extent, with reinstatement of domestic and commercial premises for some time, most notably following the Boxing Day Storms in 1998 and the storms of 29th January 2002.
Furthermore, we undertake roof level surveys for a fixed fee, and provide specific and technical reports with photographic evidence of the condition of the roof.
It is accepted that a large proportion of what is considered to be storm damage is in fact deterioration of the roof surface, poor design or poor workmanship.
We have been instrumental in reinstating a significant quantity of the storm affected properties in recent years, and have structures in place for tackling high volume incidents of this type.
